Fashion at the Races: Super Belmont

This Saturday brings us back to Belmont Park, NY for what is called “Super Saturday!” What’s so super about it? Well the Breeders’ Cup Win and You're In Jockey Club Gold Cup of course — but the fashion doesn’t disappoint either!
We have officially made the transition into fall, not only with the chilly temperatures at night, but with the turning of the leaves in the New York area. Bringing out your fall jackets, colorful scarves, and, of course, fashionable boots, gets us excited for what you will put together for this weekend’s races.
Fall trends at the race track take the spring and summer trends into a darker, more sophisticated place. Florals are in, but the bright pinks, greens, and yellows should be packed away in your summer tote and instead replaced with teals, navy blues, and dark purples. These dark florals are perfectly paired with a statement necklace, giving the subdued colors some pizazz.
You can now sport your felt millinery pieces without seeming out of place. Channel your mobster-style with a felt wider brimmed fedora or grab one of the felt fascinators from our online boutique. Either way, keep your millinery structured as the floppy fedora will dress down your racing outfit.
For now, the temperature will be mid-70s, which means you can still leave the tights and long jackets at home. If you think you will get a bit chilly, grab a cape! No we don’t mean superman — more like a shoulder cover up for the fashionista. See some of our favorites from Phase-Eight.
Lastly, this is a great track for heels. Keep them comfortable but rock your favorites. Platforms will have your feet last all day and don’t forget your Emergency Fashion Pack equipped with Band-Aids just in case.
Happy racing and share a pic of your fab outfit! #BCFashion #FashionatRaces
