Fashion at the Races: Belmont Pop

We are heading back to New York City for the next #WinandYoureIn Breeders' Cup race! But this time … it's all about the ladies! Oh, wait – isn't it always?!

The Belmont Oaks is a race just for 3-year-old fillies and turns the spotlight on those equine ladies running on the track. Just off the track, we want the spotlight on the fabulous two-legged ladies! We do love to pull the fashion trends from the city, and similar to the Met Mile, black and white is your go-to here. However, this time around, incorporate a blast of color somewhere in your outfit.

Black and white is so flattering to any body type. And by adding a pop of color, you can really let your personality show through!

Whether you choose an all white dress with bright red heels and a hat, or your favorite little black dress with all neon accessories, have some fun with your colors!

This is the time that you put a lot of focus into your millinery. Since you are really only playing with black and white, you can push the boundaries and allow your personality to show through with your pick of headwear. Find those crazy pops of color in your millinery either with neons, lipstick reds or multi colored pieces. Check out great designs at

If you're going to wear an all white or all black dress, be sure to put effort into your headwear. This is what will set you apart from the rest of the crowd. Your other fun accessory for the day will be your bag choice. If you want to add a pop of color or a fun pattern, this is one way to do so.

If you have a fun colored shoe that you’ve been looking for an excuse to wear – well, here you go! FATR's Bri Mott wore a pair of bright pink Calvin Klein heels to the races last year and most definitely will bring them out again!

Whether you choose to pop with red, pink, blue, or crazy bright green, this is a great opportunity to play with accessories and be comfortable in your everyday LBD or LWD!

See you at the races!
